Post Your Event - How it Works

Anyone from a charity, educational institution, or other nonprofit organization can easily post or edit their special event information themselves, at any time, for free. Each event is displayed on its own webpage, headlined with the organization’s name and the event name. Narrative, details and a large map are displayed to entice new patron attendance. A “share webpage” tool is included to provide webmasters with the HTML code to link their main website to their new listing on Causes Calendar. The share webpage button also enables supporters to easily spread the word about your event. A second dedicated page, with search engine, lists all upcoming and past events for your organization.

Advanced features that you are encouraged to take advantage of, all for free, include showing your logo, button links to your website for event registration and donations, pictures presented in slide show format, and an archive of past events.

To get started, simple click the "Post Your Event" option below the "Administrative Tasks" tab on the main menu and follow the prompts. If you have not yet done so, you will asked to login. First time users will need to register, which they can do right from the login screen.

When you register, check the drop-down list of organizations to see if your organization is already listed. If so, simple select it. If your organization is not on the list, you can enter the needed information at this point. Multiple people can register for a given organization. However, for security reasons, an individual can only register for a single organization. If you are associated with multiple organizations, please email us explaining your situation and special arrangements will be made.

To edit your event page, or to add pictures, find your event by using the "Event Search" tab from the main menu. Once your event is displayed, click "Edit event details or Add pictures" at the bottom left of the page. Make your changes, or upload your pictures (jpeg format only), then refresh your event page and make sure everything looks good.
